French giants Olympique Marseille have signed Cameroonian attacker Clinton Njie from English outfit Tottenham Hotspur on a permanent deal.

The forward had a successful loan stint with Marseille during the 2016/17 season and the Ligue 1 outfit have since purchased him from Spurs.

The English Premier League (EPL) club made the announcement on their official website:

“We have reached agreement with Marseille for the permanent transfer of Clinton Njie.

“The Cameroon international spent the 2016-17 campaign on loan with the Ligue 1 side, making 23 appearances and scoring four goals.

“Clinton joined us in August, 2015, from Lyon and made 14 appearances for the Club. We wish Clinton all the best for the future,” a statement read.

The former 23-year-old attacker made 22 league appearances for Marseille and he hit the back of the net four times in the process.

Njie was on the books of French giants Olympique Lyonnais, before he joined Spurs prior to the 2015/16 season.
