Vipers Sports Club coach Jorge Miguel Da Costa has lambasted his side, saying they were incompetent against Uganda Revenue Authority last week.
Despite taking the lead inside four minutes Vipers lost 2-1 to URA.
Milton Karisa put the Venoms in the lead, before goals from Henry Kisekka and Shafik Kagimu turned the game in URA’s favour.
Although Vipers were the favourites at the start of the season to lift the Ugandan Premier League crown, the Portuguese manager begs to differ.
“My team was not competent,” said Da Costa to Kawowo Sports.
“Our players can’t put the ball in the net, something that can even be done by a 12-year-old boy.
“If we continue to play the way we do, I doubt we can win the league this season.”
Vipers are now eight points off the log and lie fifth with 20 points from 12 games whilst SC Villa top the table with 28 points from 13 matches.
