It’s great to leave happily – Noble
Westham United Captain. Mark Noble says it was a great feeling to leave London stadium happily after Saturday’s remarkable victory over defending champion, Chelsea.
Noble, who is only coming back into the starting eleven after he had been dropped to the bench by new Manager, David Moyes in their 2: nil loss to Watford was at his impressive best on Saturday.
Westham had struggled at home since September having failed to win in all their matches at home. Many would have expected an easy one for the blues but David Moyes’ side turned the lights on to make a massive statement as they kept Chelsea at bay from start to finish after Marko Arnautovic early opener. Noble can only hope of a repeat when they host the Gunners at the London stadium on Wednesday.
“It’s nice to go home with a smile on my face,” Noble told Westham official website.
“I do like winning local derbies! Chelsea, Spurs and we’ve got another one on Wednesday night against Arsenal”
“When you play against these big teams and you play against teams like this that have so much money and can buy the best players in the world, you can’t just open up and match them up”
“You’ve got to realize that and you have to find a way to beat them. We found that way by defending, by counter-attacking and I don’t care if we defended for 90 minutes, we won the game”
