Reports from Corriere Dello sports affirms that the Manchester United forward is listening to offers from Italian club, Inter Milan.
The newspaper reported that the San Siro side has spoken with Mkhitaryan star-agent, Mino Raiola and Inter are putting in all the effort to conclude the deal to bring him to the San Siro.
The Armenian International who started the season on a high note with Manchester United has fallen down the pecking order as he struggles to make matchday squad in recent weeks. BBC sports also reported that there has been “a breakdown of trust” between him and his Manager, Jose Mourinho.
Inter Milan aims to strengthen their squad so as to challenge Juventus for the scudetto although reports also stated that they will not “go crazy” due to a limited finance to work with in the winter transfer window. This might see them bring back Alessandro Bastoni, who is on a two-year loan spell at Atlanta instead of signing a new defender.
However, it is yet to be seen if Mkhitaryan would be signed on loan or a permanent deal.
