Paul Pogba confirms snubbing Real Madrid before joining Man United
Paul Pogba confirmed that Spanish club, Real Madrid was interested in his signature before he joined Manchester United.
The French Midfielder, who developed at Old Trafford with Manchester United academy before he was sold to Juventus became the world record signing when he returned to his former club for £89million in 2016 summer.
Pogba says he believes he made the right choice of turning down the chance of joining one of his idol and countryman who is at the helm at Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane before last season began.
“To be honest, Real Madrid came to me and I was thinking to go there, but I was also thinking to go to Manchester United” Pogba informed Beyond the Pitch Podcast.
“But I always felt it in my heart. My heart told me to come back here [Manchester], I don’t know why I didn’t know what will happen. but I did it and I don’t regret. I never regret my choice”
