Salah will reach the 100 Premier League goal milestone – Mido

Liverpool forward, Mohamed Salah has been a great delight to the Anfield fans this season as he has hit the ground running in a fascinating fashion after his summer transfer from Roma.’

The Egyptian has surpassed the highest number of goals scored by an Egyptian in the Premier League after notching two goals in the Reds 2-2 draw with Tottenham. Mido, a former striker for Middlesbrough and Tottenham previously held the record with 22 goals, the former forward now believes Salah will go on to become a centurion in the League.

The former Chelsea forward now has a total of 23 Premier League efforts with his two goals scored in a difficult spell at Stamford Bridge added to his 21 goals for Liverpool this season.

Salah is expected to get even better as he is approaching his crucial age as a footballer fast. Mido expects him to set a high bar for Egyptians in the Premier League if he can keep his great form.

While speaking with BBC Sports, Mido said: “I felt proud after Salah reached my number of goals, and I think he can reach 100 goals easily.”

“He had a difficult spell at the Bridge after been denied an opportunity to display his brilliance. His talent was made visible for all to see in Italy during his time at Fiorentina and Roma”

“Salah is in top form, he is strong and fast I’m sure he will score more goals and break more records in the English Premier League,” he added.

“Now he is playing with a very big side, and I want him to focus more and more with the Reds so that he can make history.”
