Ancelotti confirms Italy Approach but Prefers Club Management

Former Real Madrid Manager, Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that he was contacted by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) but would pride Club Management over Country football.

” I’ve been linked to all sort over the last couple of months, like Croatia, Saudi Arabia, China, and Milan. But the new Milan directors haven’t spoken with me” Ancelotti told La Domenica Sportiva.

“To me, Serie A is the most interesting league in Europe right now as there is a lot of competition, unlike in France”

The former Milan tactician was sacked by Bundesliga Champions, Bayern Munich in September and has been out of a job since then.

As a result of Milan’s dismal start to the season, Ancelotti was believed to be the favorite to take over from Vincenzo Montella before the Club shockingly turned to former midfielder, Gennaro Gattuso.

When queried about a likely return to Juventus where he was in charge between 1991 and 2001. Ancelotti replied “Everyone knows about my past so I don’t want to go against my past. I am fond of [Juventus President] Andrea Agnelli, he was only a kid when I was there. As I said I don’t go against my past”.
