Malaga remain deep in relegation trouble in La Liga following a goalless draw at home to Levante.

Adrian Gonzalez had the best chance of the match, seeing an effort come back off the post in a second half which the hosts dominated.

But Malaga had to settle for a draw that leaves them third bottom in the table, four points from safety.

Levante, hammered 5-0 by Atletico Madrid in their last league outing, had an early shot on goal from Shaquell Moore which Roberto comfortably dealt with.

Gonzalez was a threat all game and fired over before seeing an effort well saved at the start of the second half.

The midfielder then rattled the post from a difficult angle but Levante almost stole the win at the death, Nano Mesa bringing a fine save out of Roberto following a break.
